How can i learn spanish fluently?

I am declaring international business as my major and it requires 26 hrs (8 classes) of spanish. I am kind of a slow leaner especially when it comes to foreign languages. I would like to get a head start before i take the classes. I cant afford rosetta spanish now–trying to sell of alot of stuff to buy it but no one seems to want them. Where can i get it cheap?–Dont say free online sites, they are not as good.

Thanks!

Why do you specifically want Rosetta Stone? As a beginner, learning vocabulary is not the best approach. Rosetta Stone like other flashcard based methods, help expand you vocabulary base but they will not teach you conversational skills. Knowing many words is not knowing to speak a language. I usually recommend Pimsleur to beginner students. If you want a method that focuses on conversational skills, Pimsleur is the reference imo. It’s a real confidence builder, which is essential for new students. You will learn to train your ear to understand natives, develop very good pronunciation and get the fundamentals of the language under your belt. It’s also half the price of RS (check Amazon.) Good luck.

Immerse yourself in a Spanish-speaking culture for a few months to a year.

    Complete immersion is best.

find some mexican friends and try to always be around spanish speaking people.

    memorize three words each day.
take classes for the verbs, subjects, pronoun, to learn all of that.

i know you said you can’t afford rosetta stone, BUT i bought the French version for $25 from a guy on craigslist b/c it was 2 years old (my theory is language doesnt really change too much in 2 years right, ha)

go to your google search bar and type in ‘rosetta stone spanish craigslist’ that will search all of craigslist in every city. Most people would be willing to mail it to you.
ours was really cheap, but ive also seen it for $40 to $100 for different languages. Which is waaaaaay cheaper than it brand new

    good luck

I use the program called "Rosetta stone" is is not cheap but it does work because it helps you memorize by speaking it correctly (into a microphone) and you see the meaning and also hear it… so it is worth the $250

Here’s a cheap way to get you started:
Get a bunch of post its and a Spanish English Dictionary. Label stuff everywhere you are: the kitchen, the office, the bathroom, etc. your goal is to learn 10 words per day (if you need help with the pronunciation and your dictionary is not facilitating things, try many of the online dictionaries with pronunciation guides and/or recordings) and practice making complete sentences and saying them aloud.
The best way to learn a language is by speaking it.You’ll be fluent in no time.
    Buena suerte

Here are 3 things that will make it easier to learn Spanish that are cheap and easy.

#1 – Get a Spanish to English dictionary and a bunch of those mini – Post-it notes. Write the Spanish translation of EVERY object in your house on the Post-its and stick them to the objects where you can see them everytime you use that object..

#2 – Do you have any Latino community centers in your area? Sometimes, they will have classes or tutoring for cheap.

#3 – Try to get a job as a nanny to a child who speaks Spanish. As they learn more words and proper sentences, so will you! If this is an option, try to get a child that is between the ages of 4 and 10 … 4 or 5 years old being the best.

I am very good at learning language and have had to teach others English, French and Spanish. These are some of the things that I have recommended to my students, as well as utilizng these methods myself.

maybe you could find it off amazon or ebay.. if you dont mind owning a used one

honestly i heard rosetta stone does work…but it all depends on which learning method is best for you. like do you learn better when someone explains stuff to you, or are you the type of person that can pick up stuff while listening to something. idk if that helped or not..
